She gasped in a few breaths. They felt like the first breaths she had taken in years.

She ran her hands over herself. Her stomach. Her sides. Her chest. Her face. It felt like the first time she had felt anything in years.

She opened her eyes, and found herself in a dully lit room. The muted blues and greens felt like the first things she had seen in years.

A voice sounded from somewhere. Its light tone sounded like the first thin she had heard in years.

"Hello, sweetie."

She looked around the room for the source. Her eyes landed on a large blue box. Or, more specifically, the woman leaning against it.

"Sorry it took so long. The Vashta Nerada are impossible to negotiate with," the woman said.

The woman watched her as she looked around again. She took everything in, and the memories came back to her. The library. The excavation. The shadows. The Doctor.

Her eyes flew back to the woman leaning against the TARDIS. Her thick, near raven hair was only visible against her vest thanks to the shine of the fabric. The vest accentuated her curves wonderfully. Her legs were casually crossed and ended in black heels.

She looked back up and caught the woman's eyes. They were a deep brown, but that wasn't what made her freeze. It was what they held. The age, the pain, the wisdom. And that glint. That glint that had first attracted her all those years ago.

She gave the woman one more look over before grinning and standing up. She took a few steps towards the women, and stopped with bare an inch between them. Light and dark eyes locked in an intense gaze.

She rested on hand on the woman's hip, while the other wandered up the side of the vest. The silk was smooth beneath her fingers, but not as smooth as the skin she found above the last button.

Her hand continued to move upwards. She felt muscles tense beneath her fingers as she skimmed over the woman's neck.

Her fingers lightly traced the new face. Chin. Cheeks. Forehead. Nose. Lips.

She moved her hand around to the back of the woman's neck. Her hair felt like satin against the back of her hand.

"Hello, sweetie indeed," she breathed before pulling the woman, her wife, into a kiss.

This is totally something I want to see. A female doctor surprising River. So, totally seeing Jaime Murray as the Doctor. That is all.
