Sakura's Story

Sakura knew that tonight would be the night she had waited for all her life. She knew that tonight Sasuke was going to propose to her. She was absolutely ecstatic. She had overheard him talking on the phone to his best friend, Naruto, and how he was nervous that "she" might say no. She knew that she would never say no to Sasuke.

She rummaged through the cabinet where he kept his belongings in the apartment that they had shared for about six months. She had found the most beautiful (yet simple) ring. It had little diamonds all around it and the band was platinum. She couldn't wait for tonight.

She planned to wear the dress that she wore on their first date. It was a simple, yet elegant black dress with a diamond pendant and some classy heels. She had to make sure that everything would be perfect, yet she had to make sure that Sasuke would have no idea that she knew about the engagement plans. He hadn't invited her to dinner, yet, but that was the least of her worries or at least that was what she thought. She just kept thinking of how her new name would sound, Sakura Uchiha.

Sasuke's Story

He knew that she was the woman of his dreams. He had always been rather cold to her when they were kids, but, as he got older, he became more gentle and kind. He had planned everything from roses to what he was going to wear to the perfect restaurant. He wanted everything perfect because he wanted to impress the woman that he wanted spend the rest of his life with.

He had to speak to his friend Naruto for a bit of encouragement since he was a nervous wreck. He even had Naruto's wife help him pick out the perfect engagement ring because he didn't want to pick out something that was too gaudy or something that was too simple.

Sakura had been acting a little weird since Sasuke had been making the plans for the big night, but Sasuke thought nothing of her behavior. He wouldn't let Sakura's strange behavior get in the way of his perfect night. Tonight would be the night he would propose to the most beautiful and most perfect woman ever. Tonight he would propose to Ino.
