Due to my excessive fear of thunder and the fact that my power went out this morning; I have come up with a new story idea. A drabble… REVIEW!
My hate for the weatherman continued to increase as the seconds passed. How dare he tell me lies.
Granted it was the rainy season, but telling a loyal viewer that there was going to be mild rain showers in the afternoon when it was actually going to be a huge thunder storm was not cool in my book.
In addition to the lies about the weather, my power decided to turn off at the most inconvenient time, which just so happened to be when I was all alone in my house.
So here I am; curled up on my couch, surrounded by candles and checking my phone every five minutes to see if my parents have any audacity to check on me. In an attempt to create entertainment, I opened up the Facebook app on my phone. I had about a gazillion notifications, like people accepting my friend requests or people tagging me in photos; instead of taking the time to read each and every single one, I ignored them and posted something that I was in desperate need of.
Need a thunder buddy.
I tapped on my touch screen phone, hoping that in a few minutes someone would at least comment or like it. Anyone; anyone except that purple-haired thing that called himself my friend, I usually deleted his comments anyways.
Two minutes,
Nothing.
Five minutes,
Still nothing.
After ten minutes, I just gave up; wrapping a blanket around myself and curling up on the couch in a tight ball, hoping that I could catch some z's in the horrible storm. Falling asleep in a thunder storm is not as easy as everyone makes it out to be. The blinding flashes of lightning, booming thunder and the sound of rain pounding on my roof were not the things I wished to experience while trying to go to sleep.
In the midst of the booming thunder and the sound of pouring rain, I heard a knocking at my door. Thinking that it was a deranged criminal that had escaped prison and was on the run, I grabbed an umbrella, just in case.
"W-who's there?" I stuttered loudly; hoping that the person standing outside in the pouring rain could hear me.
"It's me!" My eyes widened at that voice and my ears longed to hear it again, so I opened the door.
"Why are you here?" I giggled as I opened up the door and got a good look at him. He was soaked to the bone, including his long violet hair. He looked miserable and cold as he was standing in the rain, but he still had his smile on his face.
"You said you needed a thunder buddy,"
My first drabble! I'm so happy, also… I don't own anything! Now…
