It's very short but I just felt like writing it. I've been doing a lot of that 'just writing, not planning' thing recently. xDD
Well, here's what came out of it this time.
His human was a strange one-always gone and always there. But she was his human and he would always love her.
She always smelled of dog and death and air purer than home. She was gone all the time as well-for many sunrises and sunsets. She occasionally went through a whole moon cycle.
It started on the day he ventured into the small house. It had smelled stronger of bones than usual for some reason and he had gone to check on it. Something happened though and a foul smelling evil creature took her down with it.
But she returned and all was well. Even when the strange dog predator came. He never doubted his human, he always waited for her. Be it in the house, her room, the strange house, or outside.
After all, she always came back. He let her wander and when she returned she'd pet and lay with him and all would be like the days she was just a human-kit. Especially on the days she came back upset and curled up with him, hugging him to her chest.
His human was a strange one-always gone and always there. But she was his human and he would always love her.
Always.
