Missing Scene
AN: Ok, this is just a quick missing scene from Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident (Book 2). I was finally getting around to reading it on the long trip back from San Antonio, and I was listening to music when Breathe by Faith Hill popped on and I got this insane idea for a cute scene that would have been hilarious in the book. XD Really, 10 hours in a car, half-asleep, and being kept awake by caffeine isn't good for you. Lol, so enjoy my interesting missing scene from the book. grins
Holly was flying the Atlantean ambassador's shuttle from Chute 93 to E93, the Artic Shuttleport. Artemis was reminiscing over the unusually clean water, and Root was eyeing Butler warily in the back of the shuttle.
Mud-people,' thought Holly vehemently, as she spared a sideways glance at Fowl to glare at him. He seemed rather calm, but his hands clutching the chair gave away that he was not enjoying the flight at all. Holly grinned.
So, Fowl, enjoying the ride? Not especially, he murmured.
I could go faster if you like, then you wouldn't have to suffer so much. No, this speed is quite alright. You sure Fowl? Holly snickered, evilly reaching for the booster button.
Yes, I'm extremely sure. No, wait, no!
Holly pushed the button. The radio turned on.
I can feel the magic floating in the air. Being with you gets me that way- Holly's and Artemis' eyes widened and she switched the radio off.
Short, what do you think you are doing up there? yelled Root from behind her.
Sorry Commander. Wrong button, Holly said, trying to avoid eye contact with Fowl.
Well next time you turn the radio on, pick something better than a sappy love song!
Holly grimaced. It figured that the one button she picked out to be he boosters had to be the radio instead. It figured even more that the one Mud-person she despised the most had to be sitting right next to her when that particular song came on.
D'Arvit,' she thought. It was going to be one hell of a long mission.
The End! Yeah, I know that was short (pardon the pun), but hopefully it was cute. Right? I liked it. Lol, anyways, please review! And maybe go check out my other fanfics too! I seem to have a lack in audience. Heh, maybe I should update more often too. Can't help it if school is in the way though. Plus my muse has a schedule of her own. Hope you enjoyed it, go review! hint hint
