Pairing: Lucy Weasley/Lorcan Scamander
Disclaimer: I do not own the Harry Potter series, its characters, plot ideas, etc.
Lorcan Scamander first fell in love with Lucy Weasley when she kicked him in the chest with a soccer ball during her first year.
He'd always noticed Lucy was special. She abhorred Quidditch, and instead favoured soccer. When Lorcan scoffed at 'that silly Muggle sport', she promptly kicked the soccer ball at him, where it hit him right in the middle of his chest and nearly knocked him over. Then she proceeded to yell at him, red-faced, right in front of all his second-year classmates.
And for some reason, he'd fallen in love with her.
However, when he'd asked Lucy out, with her unremarkable looks and grades, she'd rejected him in favour of David Michaels. That day he'd kind of fallen in love all with her all over again and had his heart broken all at once. Which, let's face it, didn't make any sense. Needless to say, that wasn't the last time she rejected him.
Then, the summer of his fifth year and her fourth, his parents decided to have Lucy's family over. That night, Lorcan had sneaked into the guest room where Lucy was staying in, and found her quietly crying. She'd received an owl from David Michaels saying that he wanted to break up with her. Lorcan spent hours in her room, trying to console her, and ignoring her protests.
Lucy woke up to find a crudely wrapped package on her table. Inside, there was a dartboard with David Michael's face on it. A note with very familiar handwriting was attached to the wrapping paper.
Screw Michaels. Go out with me? Tick 'yes' or 'no'. :DD
Below that sentence were two vaguely square-shaped boxes with 'yes' and 'no' next to them, obviously intended to be checkboxes.
Grinning at the childishness of the note, she grabbed a quill and drew a much neater box below the two, ticked it, and wrote a single word next to the box.
Maybe.
Pathetic, I know, but at least I tried, hey?
R&R please. :D
