Outside Sharon's mansion, Oz and Alice played around in the rose garden, hiding away from Oz's only and faithful servant Gilbert. Not but moments ago, Oz had snagged the black hat off of Gilbert's head he always wore and ran off with it laughing, Alice following beside him. After separating from his chain that ran off in a different direction, the young blond hid himself in a circle of bushes, covering his mouth to prevent his giggles from getting out. Oz could hear Gil's heavy footsteps on the pavement and a groan here and there when the spot he thought was his young master's hiding place wasn't correct.
"Oz! Where in the hell did you go? I want my hat back!" the black haired servant gave a huff and shook his head. "you and that damned rabbit... I swear." Oz could hear Gil say under his breath. He didn't know why he loved to tease Gilbert so much but he did ever since they were kids, Oz just thought he like the reactions, but he could never give up the fact though that he had always had a crush on little Gil ever since he first showed up into Oz's life. The blond shook his head that bared the too big black hat of those thoughts. He didn't like to think on those feelings much, knowing Gilbert was now much more older physically now, and he probably had no interest with himself in such a way.
Looking past the green foliage, Oz peeked out to see the tip of Alice's brown hair sticking out of a bush across from his, but apparently Gil also spotted it too. The raven haired man tugged on it a little bit and Alice plopped out onto the ground near Gilbert's feet on her back.
"what in the hell you do that for seaweed head!?" She looked up to him with glaring violet eyes before rolling over and lifting herself back up onto her feet.
"geeze your a pathetic chain if that honestly hurt you." Gil looked unimpressed and crossed his arms. "Oz isn't with you?"
"no he ain't Stupid, maybe if you were a better servant, you wouldn't have to go looking for him." she huffed. "now servant of my man servant, go find him!" she spoke with a demanding tone and pointed at Gilbert.
"oh, I'll find him alright and when we get back home, I'm not going to cook you any meat!" Gil turned away and started to storm off.
"hey! Leave the meat out of it!" she ran off after him. Oz just sighed and sat there in the bushes after they stormed off in another direction. Gil and Alice didn't seem like they'd ever get along even after the three had been together for a while now.
Oz stood and stretched after the two squabbling children were out of ear shot before he started to walk around and explore a little on his own. He was lost in all of his thoughts ever since he came back from the abyss due to so much that has passed during his absence. The world didn't seem all that different from what he was used to but the people he knew had changed. Things seemed to get really... boring for him. No one wanted to play games anymore because they were all older than him and was too busy with working. He frowned physically and yawned.
"since when did everyone get to be so boring..." he sighed and perked up when he heard foot steps coming up from behind him. Oz turned to only find Gil running towards him with a panicked look written on his face and in his golden eyes.
"Oz! Look out!" he shouted as he reached out to grab him when he was really close but it was already too late. Oz felt thee ground under him disappear suddenly and the big black hole was there. His emerald green eyes widened as he suddenly fell into the darkness that was below him. The pure darkness scared him, it reminded Oz too much of the Abyss, all he wanted to do was scream and hope this was just a night mare...
