Three years it had been. Three years since I had last seen Inuyasha at the well. When we came back I saw Mom, Gramps, and Souta and felt utterly relieved to be back home, back in the world I belonged. It was as if. . . as if I had been sent to fufill my purpose and now I was done.

I stared down at the well, not moving for awhile. The soil at the bottom lay still. Still in this darkness since the last time I saw Inuyasha. Memories of him flashed before my eyes, as I stared at the well.

'NO stand back and let me protect you.'

'Kagome don't wish anything, I will always come back to you, have faith in me!'

'Why would I be crying? Everyone is save and alive!'

'Kagome I will always protect you, forever.'

Tears began to pour down my cheeks in an excessive rate. I tried to wipe them away quickly, but they kept rolling again. Inuyasha. I want to see you. I want to be with you always. . .

"Kagome, sweetheart are you alright," called my mom but I didn't turn as something took my attention. I looked down and my breathing stopped.

"The sky,"I whispered. "The blue sky." I knew what I had to do. The path that I must follow. I want to see Inuyasha. I want to be with him. INUYASHA!

I pulled my mom's arm forward to show her. She looked over gasping at the sight. I didn't look up, as I knew she would understand what I was asking.

"Mom," I whispered. She shook her head, smiling. I hugged her tightly kissing her cheek. I let go and jumped out of the well, knowing that soon I would see him.

"Inuyasha," I called softly. I looked uo to see his face, his white hair glowing in the bright sunlight. His yellow eyes widened in surprise and, was that happiness. I smiled at him as I reached out my hand. He quickly grasped it pulling me up. I stared into his eyes, and he stared back, knowing what this meant.

"I'm back," I said, smiling widely, reaching out to hug him. His arms wrapped around me tightly, his voice calling softly in my ear.

"Welcome back."
