A/N: SO! Wow! This is my first update in like 2 weeks! My play's done! =D

Ok! So guys! We're only 13 fics away from being ahead of Spring Awakening! =D So it's my goal this weekend to write 13 new oneshots to get us there! (If you wanna help out too, BE MY GUEST.) So yeah! Don't get annoyed if I post a ton of fics then…

So, the title of this fic is "Dead Man Walking" the name of the play I was in (like the movie! Go watch it! Excellent story!) So when I thought about it, it made me think of Gabe! SO yeah! Enjoy!

REVIEW PLEASE!

Disclaimer: Don't own N2N or Dead Man Walking. That belongs to Sister Helen Prejean (who is the sweetest lady ever!)

It was about three in the morning when Dan was awakened by a blood-curdling scream. Coming straight from Natalie's room. He immediately darted out of bed and rushed over to where the girl was, his heart pounding, too many awful thoughts filling his head of what could've happened. But when he got there, he was stunned (and not to mention relieved) to find the little girl just crumpled into a ball, crying her eyes out.

He sighed and shook that hurried feeling away before he gently walked up to her, crouching down to her level. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled herself closer to him, not wanting to let go. He rubbed her back in an unsuccessful attempt to soothe her. He smoothed her hair gently as she cried into his shoulder.

"Shhh…" he hushed her, kissing her cheek. "It's ok, Nat…It's ok…"

She shook her head and sobbed more. "D-Daddy…"

His arms found themselves around her tightly. "Everything's ok….Tell me what happened." She shook her head again, not wanting to talk, either out of fear or shame. "Natalie."

She pulled away from him for a second, her tear-stained faced looking straight at him. "I-I saw him…"

"Who, honey?"

"M-My big brother….I saw him! He was right there and he-!" But she burst into another wave of sobs before she could finish.

He hugged his daughter to him again, letting her cry. How could this happen? Sure, it was one thing for Diana to hallucinate. She was sick. She was traumatized. But Natalie? How much trauma could a seven-year-old go through?

"He what?" he asked wanting to know what happened.

"He…he…said m-my name and then he came closer and he smiled. But when he got closer I screamed and he went away…"

"Shhh….it was just a dream…It wasn't real…" He could feel her head nodding furiously. "Ok…Get some sleep now…" He went to lay her back down in her bed but she refused.

"No!" she grabbed onto him again. He could tell that she was trembling she was so scared. He sighed and picked her up, carrying her out of the room. "Where are we going, Daddy?"

"I want you to sleep in my room, tonight, ok?" He placed her gently on the bed as she nodded. He quickly laid back down, wondering how Diana slept through this whole thing. He could feel Natalie tossing and turning in the little gap where she laid between her parents. She finally found a comfortable spot and settled down, her arms wrapping around her father tightly, feeling so much safer now that he was there.

But what they didn't know was that they weren't alone. Gabe was watching the whole scene unfurl. He thought it was a good idea…to reveal himself to his sister. He just wanted her to know that everything was ok. He wanted her to know that he was here, that he wasn't just a hallucination. So when his father came into the room and just took her from him, he couldn't have been more furious. He was treated like nothing. Like he didn't exist. Like he wasn't a part of this family.

He was just a dead man walking…

A/N: Awww…poor Gabe…
