Hi and thanks for looking into my story. This is my first ever fic, so if you'd like to leave a comment it'd be much appreciated. But no flames, please. I'm going to try my best to make my own version of Nicholas Sparks' unbelievably romantic story, The Notebook, and I hope you enjoy it. Disclaimer: The storyline belongs to Mr. Sparks and the characters that we know and love so much belong to no other than JK Rowling.

"I'll Be Seeing You."
"I'm not anything special; of this I am sure. I am a common wizard with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There aren't monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect, I've succeeded as gloriously as anyone who ever lived. I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and for me, that has always been enough."
It was dusk, and so the sky was a breathtaking shade of sun-kissed pink. The geese were flying low over the lake where a time-worn man was rowing. She could tell he was, for the moment, almost at peace with the world as he made his continual strokes. She had been overlooking this scene for a while now, standing at the window of this grand, white house, with thoughts of wonder. Thoughts about why this all looked so serene but her mind just had to be so jumbled with confusion. It was all so frustrating! It was as if there was just a blank, empty void in her head. Or images, answers, just behind a veil.
As she looks at her reflection in the pane of glass, she sees an aged woman before her. She reaches her hand up to grasp the long, wavy, silvery locks of hair that she saw with weary eyes of brown.
" So this is me," she said to herself.
A soft knock came at the open door. "We need to get you to bed, pumpkin," the nurse says, coming over to her.
And so she ends one more day wondering who she really is and where her life has gone.
He knew this was going to be a good day. He just did. Finished combing his snowy white hair and adjusting his collar, he grabbed a small book and headed out of his room to get his daily morning medicine.
"How are ya feelin' today, Red?" one of the male nurses ask, smiling.
"Fit as a fiddle, thanks."
He walks around the corner to the medicine counter and spots a friend. "How's it hangin', Oliver?"
"I keep tryin' to die, but they won't let me."
"Well, you can't have everything..."
Once Oliver gets what he came for, Red steps up and greets the lovely, young nurse he sees every morning.
"Today's a good day," he says, downing the potion.
"You say that everyday, you old bloke," the nurse responds, chuckling. He simply nods his head with a grin and heads upstairs.
"Come on, Miss. Don't you want to get out of the room to do something?" the nurse asked trying to interest this elderly lady.
"No, thank you," the silver haired woman replies, "I'd rather not."
Right when she looks up to perhaps ask the nurse to leave her be, she spots an older gentleman who seems to be waiting to enter the room. That's when the nurse noticed him.
"Today's not a good day," the nurse said to Red, "Maybe tomorrow."
But that's when she spoke up. "Who are you?"
"This is Red, he's come to read to you," the nurse replies for him sweetly. Red just smiles. "You'll like him. He's very funny."
"Oh, okay. Alright."
The nurse left to go attend to her duties, leaving them together.
"So would you like to go downstairs?" Red kindly asks her. " I'm sure you'll like this story. It's a good one."
Sorry about just having the one chapter up and having it be so short at the moment. I promise to be writing more very soon. Perhaps a comment or two? Happy Easter, also, to those of you out there who celebrate it! Thanks again-
Yevette
