AN: Another Leon/Cloud story from me. I like these two. Prompt number 44 - "What's her face".

It had been a fierce battle, one of the worst yet. Aerith, their healer, had been knocked unconscious towards the end, and nobody else could use the healing spells. Yuffie was tending to Aerith, which left Cloud and Leon to patch each other up. As Cloud wrapped a bandage tightly around Leon's arm, he heard the dark-haired man murmuring.

"Rinoa used to do this for me."

Rinoa had been Leon's girlfriend, back when he'd been known as Squall, before his world was destroyed. Rinoa had been destroyed with it, but Squall had been transported here, to Hollow Bastion, and had changed his name to Leon. The comment had, unwittingly, caused Cloud to wonder if Leon was with him out of pity, rather than because he wanted to be.

"Yes, well, she isn't here, is she? So you'll have to make do with me instead."

"I didn't mean it like that, Cloud."

Cloud knew that already, but he didn't want to admit it.

"As soon as I've stopped aching so badly, I'm going to fuck you until you forget all about… what's her face… Rinoa. I promise you that."

"I'm looking forward to it."

………………

It wasn't like Cloud to be so aggressive towards Leon. It wasn't like Cloud to be aggressive towards anyone except Sephiroth. Leon's comment had been meant as a simple observation, reminiscing about days gone by. However, Cloud had taken it completely the wrong way.

………………

Three days later, the various aches and pains had subsided enough for them to move around without the actions being accompanied by a cacophony of grunts and groans. Though the fight with the Heartless (and subsequent irritation) had been all but forgotten, Cloud's comment definitely hadn't. He waited until late, when everybody else had gone to bed, then made his way to Leon's room. Not bothering to knock, he pushed the door open, then locked it behind him. He didn't trust the house's other occupants not to interrupt if they heard anything – it had, after all, happened before. Yuffie, in particular, seemed to enjoy spying on them. This time, however, he wanted to make sure they were left completely alone.

Leon, sitting on the bed, looked up as Cloud entered, then moved closer to wrap his arms around the blond. Cloud, despite his previous anger, returned the embrace wholeheartedly. They needed each other, he knew, and no past lovers were going to come between them.

"Are you going to, Cloud? Going to fuck me until I forget about her?"

"Only if you want me to, Leon," Cloud murmured.

"Do it."

"Nothing more to say to that, is there?"

…………………

They were woken the next morning by a very persistent banging on their bedroom door. Upon opening it, they were greeted with a tired, grouchy Yuffie.

"Since you guys decided to keep us awake last night, and didn't let us see the show, I thought I'd return the favour and wake you up early."

They shared a devilish grin, neither sorry in the slightest. It had definitely been a night to remember.

AN: A vengeful Yuffie is not something I'd want to deal with. Reviews, however...
