A/N: Hey guys! A guest reviewer requested a fic where Murdoc tries to kidnap Mac, but our little husky quickly puts an end to that idea! I sorta kinda changed it just a tad, but I hope you still like it, darling! I'm sorry this took so long to get out! Thanks for all the feedback! Enjoy!
I Hate Everything About You
It was a nice sunny afternoon at the park. Mac decided today would be a nice one for a good run in the park, so he called up Jack to see if he would also be interested. The older agent said he'd love to and met up with them shortly after.
"Heya, Mikey! How ya doing, buddy?" Jack baby talked the eight month old husky while giving him some love. The pup looked like a mini wolf nowadays. Mikey had gotten a lot taller now and finally was starting to fill out some. His facial markings had darken considerably, enhancing his brilliant blue eyes. The husky's snout had turned jet black, while his body had lightened to a blue cream roan with black guard hairs around his neck, shoulders and along his back.
"Oh my gosh, I almost didn't even recognize him when I pulled in. I thought you got yourself a wolf or somethin'." Jack joked as they walked down the path together with Mikey leading the way. Mac laughed.
"I know. Bozer keeps on saying the same thing. Even the neighbors are starting to notice. I just hope they don't call in or something because they actually think that." He watched the husky pad around in front of them with a worried frown.
Jack put his hand on his partner's shoulder. "Well, what can ya say? You got yourself a damn cool husky. If anything, they're probably just jealous."
Mac smirked. "Jealous? Really? You seriously think that's what it would be?"
Jack gave him a confident nod. He knew it was beyond unlikely and probably a lot more on the stupid side of thinking, but he liked to see his kid smile. And the laugh he got in return only encouraged his intentions.
They walked and sometimes ran for a few miles. Mikey always leading the way a few feet in front of them. Yipping and barking at them to go faster. The partners happily obliged, deciding to go off the path and venture out instead. The tall trees creating a cool canopy as they ran past. They stopped once they reached the small stream filled with big colorful koi fish. Mikey sat down at the edge and watched all the fish bunch together and create ripples on the surface of the water. Jack and Mac chuckled from behind him as they watched the pup stare confusingly at the fish.
Suddenly, Mikey stood up growling deeply as he came back over to Jack and Mac. The partners both frowned at each other. Jack reached for his gun and laid his hand on it, his eyes scanning everything around them. Mac grabbed Mikey's collar and clipped his leash back on. The husky wouldn't calm down and continued to growl at something only he seemed to be able to see.
"Mikey? Hey, what's wrong? What's the matter?" Mac tried to get through to him, but Mikey had his mind set on one thing and one thing only. It wasn't long before Mikey began to bark deep and menacingly, his long sharp fangs flashing as he jumped up. Clearly wanting to go after whatever the threat he sensed or saw. Jack's worry escalated as well with the sudden turn of behavior in the husky.
"Let's go. Mac, stay close." Jack said, his soldier attitude quickly coming into play. Mac nodded and silently followed close to Jack. The husky continued to act out as they walked.
It wasn't until they got to their cars that something finally happened.
A single shot rang out. Jack instinctively got in front of his kid, who cried out for Mikey when the husky took off down the parking lot after said threat. Neither really understood what happened in that moment. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. Mac tried to get past Jack to see if his dog was ok, but Jack held him back behind him. Not trusting the situation. They faintly heard Mikey snap and tearing clothing.
The screams is what finally pushed Jack forward.
Gun at the ready, Jack and Mac ran over to where he saw Mikey run. He heard Mac gasp behind him when they finally got to the scene.
A few small smears of blood painted the tree's trunk. Mikey ran around the tree, snapping and barking something feral at Murdoc, who clung to the nearest branch for dear life. The maniac's pants had been torn to pieces, revealing his ashen white skin as well as his black Pikachu boxers. Mac couldn't stop laughing.
"Oh, Angus!" Murdoc cried from the tree. "Please! Please, call off your blood thirsty mutt! Please! I beg of you!"
"Ya know," Jack said since it was clear Mac wouldn't be able to answer for a while. "I think we'll just let you stay up there for a bit longer." The Delta pulled his phone out and started recording. Murdoc cried in denial while Mikey continued to jump around and try to yank the man from the tree. "Good boy, Mikey! Make 'im sweat!"
"You never said you were into Pokemon, Murdoc." Jack continued as he stepped closer. He heard Mac laugh harder in the back ground. He smiled. "It's a shame, really. I've got some friend's whose kids love to collect those damn things. I could've gotten some for ya. Hey, maybe some of the viewers will be kind enough to send you some once I post this on YouTube."
"You will regret this, Dalton!" The half-naked man snarled from the tree. "You and Pretty Boy over there will regret this! I swear you will!"
Jack waved him off. "Yeah, yeah. Shut up. You're ruining the show." The older agent said, grinning like a mad man at the hilarious scene. Murdoc could only scream cries of denial.
