AN: Prompt number 42 - "To the end of time".

It was my last day in Castle Oblivion before being sent to take Sora's place. I was headed to Twilight Town, a replica, apparently, of where he ended up when his world was swallowed by the darkness. Naminé is already working on his memories, making him forget his friends. Sometimes, I can't help but feel sorry for him. After all, he's about to lose everyone he knows, and nobody will remember him.

As I'm returning to my room after being briefed by the Superior, a portal opens in front of me, and Axel steps out.

"So, you're leaving tomorrow."

"Yes. Early morning, apparently."

"If he's forgetting everything, does that mean you will, too?"

Ah. The question for which I didn't have a proper answer. As I'm Sora's Nobody, the memory remodelling process might affect me in the same way. Naminé didn't know. Still, there was only one right thing to say to Axel.

"No, my memories will stay as they are."

"That's good." He smiled, sheepishly. "Wouldn't want you forgetting… well, us."

Taking his hand, I pull him to my room, where I know we won't be overheard.

"There's no way I'd ever forget that, even if I was supposed to forget everything."

"You'll come back, right?"

"Of course."

None of the others understand this connection we have. It's been there since I arrived at Castle Oblivion, and has just kept getting stronger.

"Love you, Rox."

"Love you too, Axel. To the end of time. I'll come back to you, I promise."
