AN: Takes place during Deathly Hallows, at Shell Cottage.

'Harry, you've got to let me cut your hair.'

'No, Hermione.'

Harry had distanced himself from the other two and had sat down in the corner, where he was still sitting now, displeased and moody. Hermione was standing a couple of metres away from him, a pair of scissors ready in her hand. Ron, having already received a haircut, was seated on a bed and observed the events with a rather amused expression.

'Harry, you know you can't go around looking like that!'

'It was never an issue before, Hermione, why would it be now?'

'Before we were living in a tent and surviving on mushrooms! Now that we're around civilized people once again, it's only natural that we should look at least somewhat groomed.'

'I don't see the necessity of it.'

'Haven't you seen how everyone looks at you? Fleur looked positively disgusted.'

'Yes, well, just because she's an unnatural beauty doesn't mean we should all be.'

Hermione sighed and lowered the scissors a tiny bit. 'Come on, Harry, even Ron has let me cut his hair.'

Harry shot an annoyed glance at Ron, who shrugged and said: 'Best to just let her do what she wants, mate.'

'I won't have it.'

'Harry, you're being difficult.'

'No, Hermione, you're being difficult.'

'We could've already been done with it if you'd just quit whining!'

'And we needn't have wasted time on it at all if you weren't so freaking insistent!'

Something finally seemed to snap inside Hermione, and she slowly pulled Bellatrix' wand from her pocket. Harry eyed it nervously. 'What are you going to do with that?'

On the other side of the room, Ron could barely hide his grin. 'Looks like you've angered her, Harry.'

Hermione, meanwhile, was still advancing towards Harry, who was now fumbling around nervously for some wand of his own.

'You can't do this, Hermione!' he shrieked. 'It's not fair! If you do this, I swear I'll -'

Half an hour later Harry took place at the dining table with cut and cleaned hair, rubbing furiously at the sore spot on his arm that he'd fallen on after having been Stunned.
