At the local movie theater, fans of "Mission: Impossible" lined up to see the movie adaptation of their beloved television series. What they didn't realize was that the movie will tarnish their childhoods due to a ridiculous plot twist. Many people were seen coming out of the movie theater with some of the older fans looked as if they saw something that shouldn't have been seen.
"Hey, what the hell happened?"
One of the people with a depressed look on his face said, "A fan of the original series?"
"Yeah?"
"Then for your sake, turn around and leave while you can..."
"Why? What happened?"
Then the person next to him nudged him and said, "Tom, don't ask him or he'll spoil the movie!"
"Oh crap, you're right, thanks!" said Tom.
Meanwhile at the concession stand, Pedro was ready to pay for a bucket of popcorn when a scream from one of the rooms caught he and the cashier by surprise.
"What happened?" asked Pedro.
"I don't know, didn't see the movie." said the cashier.
The older audience became angry, saddened, and sickened by what they just saw.
"This can't be...it's impossible!"
"NO!"
"What the fuck is this bullshit? There's no way he would betray his country like that!"
"Damn you De Palma! What are you trying to pull?"
The younger viewers had no idea what happened as they continued on their ignorant bliss of good and evil and how the villain was irredeemable and that the older fans were butthurt because the old guy is simply evil...
I was one of the younger viewers.
In Hollywood, the public relations manager came into Brian De Palma's office and said, "Mr. De Palma, I have been receiving tons of hate mails and threats directed to you, there is no way I can try to convince them any further!"
The movie director smiled and said, "They'll get over it, it's not like those fans of the original series would know the truth behind the story."
"What do you mean?"
The director then reach to the side of his face and pulls off his mask, revealing Tom Cruise.
