Gwen had a strange affair with Owen Harper. She would have left Rhys for him a long time ago, but she knew he wouldn't be able to commit to her, it wasn't his style. She just didn't like being an easy shag whenever the fancy struck them. She didn't want to openly admit it to him, but she loved him. After they slept together, and he would fall asleep, she would lean over and whisper,
"I love you Owen Harper, and I don't know who hurt you but I never would", and would fall asleep.
Owen smiled to himself; he would always act like he was asleep, just so he could hear her say the same line every time. He wished that she would see his smiles, or that he could take her on a real date, or that they could talk about who had hurt him, Katie. He had almost lost the will to live after she died, but before he totally could, Torchwood swooped in and saved him. Maybe if they talked about it he would be able to move on, maybe some other time.
At the end of the night, every night, once Gwen falls asleep, he leans over and whispers,
"I know you wouldn't, I love you too, sweet dreams new girl.", and drifts into blissful sleep.
