GoodLuckMotherFuckers: I do not own Bleach
Soft giggles traveled through the small apartment, echoing throughout, but to a small child, the empty apartment stood large and proud and protected the girl from the outside world in its embrace. "I wish you were there today at school, Onii-chan. Kurosaki-kun had the funniest expression when the teacher scolded him for sleeping in class today," Orihime said, offering a full toothy smile in the direction of the figure she was opening up to, who remained silent and whose facial expression did not change.
"He's very nice," Orihime whispered softly, her small fingers gently fidgeting on the small kotatsu table. "But don't be jealous, Onii-chan; after all, you're still my favorite and the best brother in the whole wide world!" Orihime proclaimed, looking straight ahead. Orihime nervously chewed her bottom lip, as her brother continued to sit across from her, not uttering a word. "Onii-chan," Orihime asked, "Why won't you speak to me?" As she reached across the table for the tea pot, she knocked over miscellaneous food items, causing her to react with a soft "Oh!" each time.
"Are you thirsty? Is that it?" Each word that Orihime whispered was laced with anguish. "Onii-chan, please say something to me. Are you still upset with me about the hairclips?" Orihime choked out the words, as her frown deepened and she turned pale by the second upon locking eyes with the figure before her. She poured the tea until it spilled all over the table. Orihime gently asked, "Are you still hurting from that accident?" Still, she received no response. "Onii-chan!" Orihime rushed forward to hug the figure before her, with whom she had been attempting to converse all night. "Why won't you talk to me," Orihime asked her brother beseechingly, allowing the tear drops to fall. "Momma," Orihime loosened her tight grasp to look down at her "Onii-chan." "Onii-chan! You're talking to me again!" Gleefully, Orihime began to laugh, as she stood up and danced around the room with the small baby doll in her arms to whom she had been speaking the whole time, whom she fully and heartily believed to be her "Onii-chan."
