Who am I?

When Valentine took Jocelyn she made him promise to erase Clary's mind. When Clary wakes up she's all alone on a beach. She can't remember who she is or any of her family. When Jace is demon hunting he sees a girl, almost dead, lying on the beach. Will Clary remember who she is or does she want to move on and start a new life? Rated T but might change to M in later chapters.

1. Chapter 1

Hi I'm Sophie. This is my first fanfic. Ive only written a small chapter to see if you guys like it. I wont carry on with it if no-one likes it but if if seems to be liked I'll carry it on. Sorry for spelling mistakes. ~Sophie (TheMortalInstrumentNerdXx)

It was so quiet that you could of heard a pin drop. I looked from left to right. I was all alone but I could feel another presence, One that didn't feel human. I closed my eyes tightly, blocking out the eerie darkness that felt as if it was going to swallow me whole. Suddenly I felt a huge wave wash over me. I peeled open my eyes to see I was on an abandoned beach. I recognised it as the beach my mother took me to when i was young but now it was all in ruins. The rainbow beach huts had now faded to a dull grey and had holes in the walls and smashed windows. Rubbish and debris was everywhere. On the sand, on the rocks and in the sea. I could still imagine the sitting here with my mother eating the picnic we used to take and hearing the seagulls chirp as they flew along the skyline. But of course all of that had changed with time.

In the distance I could hear the steady beat of footsteps, calling to me. I try to stand up but I can't. My body doesn't seem to want to move. I try to remember my name but nothing comes to mind. I start to panic. Who am I? All I can remember is this beach and a woman who I think is my mother. I hear a shout in the distance. I can't hear what theyre saying, it's too far away but i recognise that the voice sounds male. I try again to stand up. This time I manage to get onto my hands and knees but instantly collapse. I look around me to see blood. My blood. I Hear the voice again but this time it sounds like it's coming from next to me. I still can't make out what its saying. I squint my eyes upwards to see a flash of gold just before the darkness takes me again.
