Author's note 1: I'm so, so sorry...

The door opened and she stepped into the room. Removing her clothes, she got between the satin sheets and snuggled next to his warm body, letting out a sigh of contentment.

Life was good for her . . . for them. Getting him into the Bunker was probably the best thing that had ever happened in their lives.

Sure, Chuck was really depressed, at first. After all, he depended on his family and friends, on the people who surrounded and defined him. But, of course, being in a bunker had its perks. Now they were, for the first time, free to explore the strong feelings that they had for each other.

Since the first time that they saw each other, the sparks flew. They tried to hide it but, on some level, they knew that all the other people involved with the team were aware that something was going on between them even if they didn't acknowledge it themselves.

Furtive glances during mission briefs, longing looks that spoke of true love. Things that, as prisoners of protocol, they were unable to act upon.

Their relationship was unusual even back then. To keep him safe, she had to be rough towards him. She was the one with experience in the world of cloaks and daggers, and he was an innocent, trapped in a world too cruel for a man with such a gentle heart.

She crossed her arm around his chest and hugged him tightly. He woke up at her loving touch and turned his head to face her.

"Hey, you," he said, his voice gravelly from sleep. "How was work today? Did you get to save the world?"

She chuckled lightly. No matter the difficulties she faced during the day, being there with him made her forget everything. He made her feel young again.

She looked at him with her eyes filled with hunger and desire. "Why, Chuck? Do you have a reward me if I did?"

"Perhaps I do, my General."

"I love you, Chuck."

"I love you too, Diane."

"ARGH!" Chuck woke up with a scream, his heart racing.

"Chuck, are you all right?" Sarah asked him with concern, coming instantly awake since the moment that he began turning on their shared bed. "Is it the Intersect again?"

"No, I don't think so," Chuck replied, shaking his head. "Let's get back to sleep." He turned to gather Sarah in his arms and pulled himself down beside her. After a few minutes, he asked, "Hey, Sarah, do you think you can get a general's uniform?"

A/N 2: Yes, you had just read a Chianne fic (Chuck + Dianne, obviously). Hey, if we got Channah, Charina, and even Chorgan and Chasey, why not a little Chianne?. I wanted to write a Halloween fic and this is the scariest thing I can come up with. I don't own Chuck or Frea O'Scanlin's "To sleep, perchance to scream", so please, no lawsuits. Even if I deserve it. Special thanks to foxmac for the fast overnight Halloween beta.
