Looking in the eyes of truth

Aang was living another middle school day. Which meant being pushed in the halls and being Katara's just best friend. Anyway she had a boyfriend. As he walking to his locker, he was pushed into Katara, causing them both to fall with Aang on top, but only having a inch between them.

"Hey man get off my girlfriend!"

His voice was drowned out by the loud noise of the halls. But it didn't matter, neither of them was focusing on that. The only interesting thing it seemed was the other's eyes. They were mesmerized. Now Aang had a good deal of self control up this point, but this sent him over the edge. He leaned in slightly just to see if she would be repulsed and try to pry him off. But she didn't, in fact she leaned in as well. Being this close, he felt her warm sweet breath on his cheek. Then he snapped. Causing him to lean in at a rapid pace. Their lips connected for a brief second and they knew it would be a little while before they would get up. After a minute, her boyfriend's whimpish arms were trying to pull them apart. Aang gave in and broke the kiss. Aang reached down to help her up. She accepted and brushed herself off. Her boyfriend's face a sight to see. It was a mix of anger, rage, hurt, and slobber that was dripping down his chin.

"We're over!" Katara said to her awestruck boyfriend as she took Aang's hand and walked off.

An audible ,"YES!" came from Aang as he walked next to the girl he had had a crush on since the second grade.
