[Basic Summary]
The world as we know it has changed. Super humans, magic users, and even aliens are now prominent in today's society, with some acting as protectors and others acting as miscreants. However, there are those who prefer a more normal life, despite their abnormal traits. Darren Kozlowski is one such person. After entering a severe amount of debt, however, he's forced to work with a shady corporation known as Power-Guard Insurance in order to pay off what he owes, all while taking on some of the world's best, and worst, Superpowered beings.
[Characters]
Darren James Kozlowski: The main protag of our little adventure, this 22 year old is a powerful metahuman with abilities akin to that of a psychic, which include telekinesis and control over telekinetic energy. He can read any mind that enters his "Field of View", which is just his name for his peculiar, yet seemingly overpowered Unique Skill that allows him to project an invisible kinetic field that enables him to "feel" anything that enters it, which (as stated previously) includes thoughts and emotions. Don't let his scrawny frame, timid nature, or tired face fool you; he's as effective in combat as any top tier superhumans thanks to his impressive powers and quick thinking. His main goal in life is to pay off the debt that he owes, and to keep his family safe from the harm his new job may bring.
Anthony Hersh: The owner and CEO of Power-Guard Insurance, Anthony's business provides insurance coverage over any damage, be it property or bodily, brought upon by any super-powered being, may they be hero, villain, or otherwise. While not the sharpest or most brilliant man on the planet, he is quite charming, and while he knows next to nothing on how to run an insurance agency, his cohorts pretty much do all the work for him. In the end though, his dream of helping others who've been scorned by those with superpowers has led him into creating a business that revivals the likes of Lexcorp, Wayne Enterprise, and Queen Industries.
Lidia Hobs: Anthony's lifelong friend-turned-secretary, "Lids" (as she's regularly called) is the real brains behind Power-Guard Insurance, running it alongside Anthony, although it's pretty one-sided. Adding to the myth that redheads are tempermental by nature, Lidia often berates and belittles nearly everyone around her, with the exception of Anthony, due to the massive crush she holds for him, which again, is pretty one-sided.
Rose Wilson: Darren's bodyguard and one of his few friends, Rose is a well-trained assassin hired to watch over Darren and to make sure his missions are successful. Being the daughter to one of the greatest mercenaries on the planet has left Rose with a fiery temperament and a hatred for most people, although after meeting Darren, she's slowly been able to crawl out of her shell.
[Glossary]

[Notes]
Alright. So, here is where I'll keep track of every chapter I write and where you (the readers) will be able find certain information in case you're ever lost.
I'll be to UPDATE this page regularly.
As of right now, I'm still working on chapter one, but this will help me remember what the chapter is supposed to entail.
Another thing, I have yet to come up with any real love interests for Darren. I have a few ideas, let me know. The only rule is that is has to be a female. Darren is strictly heterosexual, although that won't stop him from some hardcore bromance every now and then.
Also, kudos to the person who figures out my main inspiration for this series. HINT: it's one of the greatest comedies in anime history.
See Ya Later!
