Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls.
Lydia was curled up on the couch, Stiles seated beside her. She was looking down at the ground, unable to make eye contact.
"Is everything alright?" Stiles asked, breaking the silence.
She nodded slowly. Tears were beginning to form in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away.
"I think someone's lying." He said quietly, resting his hand on her shoulder.
Lydia finally meet Stiles' brown eyes with her own, offering a weak smile. "I'm not lying."
"You can sit here and lie or tell me the truth. Whatever you feel more comfortable with.
She sighed, knowing she wouldn't be able to put it off any longer. "Jackson...I caught him. Kissing another girl." She said, her voice barely above a whisper.
To Stiles, it was weird that Lydia now told him everything...not that he minded. A few months ago, she ignored him completely, oblivious to his existance. Now, here she was, letting him into her life.
"C'mere." Stiles opened his arms.
Lydia accepted the hug, burying her face in his sweatshirt. She was speaking but her voice was muffled.
"What was that?" He asked, rubbing her back in a comforting way.
"N'fin." Her heard her respond. She didn't look up. Instead, she stayed in his arms, thankful for the comfort.
Stiles heard her weeping. "Hey, I'm sure he has some kind of messed up explanation. He cares about you like you care about him. Jackson...he doesn't want to hurt you." He couldn't believe what he was saying, but he had to make Lydia feel better someway.
She didn't say anything. Instead, she closed her eyes, falling asleep.
