It was a normal afternoon, crickets chirping as the sun set, a fire lit in the backyard.
Giroro smiled a small smile, a rare occurrence. An occurrence that only happened when he was waiting for a special someone by his fire. He almost dropped the sweet potato he was roasting when he heard the slide door open, "Hey, Giroro!", said Natsumi. He just sighed. He jumped a bit, but quickly regained his balance as she sat down next to him by the fire.
"You know?", Natsumi said quietly as he handed her a sweet potato. "This has become a bit of a regular thing." "What has?" He asked. "This. Me coming out here before the sun goes down, knowing you'll have a sweet potato already cooked." She smiled. Giroro blushed, "Well, uhhh, I guess, kind of, I, uhhhh."
"You always act so strange when we're out here though, like you're nervous about something!" she laughed. "I think it's nice though." He turned away, as to hide his face. "I wanted to thank you." She said. "For what?" Giroro asked. "Everything, every time you helped me or fought by my side. Like when I was sick, or when I got kidnapped. Gosh, for a second there I forgot how much trouble you stupid frogs get me into!" She laughed. "Anyways, I got you a gift, look that way while I get it for you." She pointed, and Giroro turned his head towards the sunset. He was about to ask if it was ready, when he felt warm lips press against his cheek. He immediately turned bright red. "Thank you." Natsumi said as she walked inside the house, leaving Giroro in absolute shock.
