AN: I've been up all night. This is probably the crappiest piece of poetry I've ever written – It didn't come out like I wanted it to. But all my poetry is badly constructed, and I wanted to write this idea down before it took over my brain.

Why do we assume vampires are evil? We have just as many biological needs that are equally revolting. But theirs involve us, therefore we freak out and kill them. (Begin sarcasm) Oh, yes, that's loving and Christian. (End sarcasm) I wonder what it'd be like to be a Christian vampire – they aren't mentioned in the Bible, and they're clearly a sentient species… Does God not love them as much as humans?

Disclaimer: Not sure if I need this, but I own nothing 'cept the character, and even then, I stole the idea from my brother.

----------------------------------------------

My people are being destroyed.

Why, we don't yet know.

We're just doing what it takes to survive.

But you humans are as cold as snow.

You refuse to listen

To what we have to say.

We flee from you in night

As you stalk us in the day.

The irony is

We're all His children

But you're in the Bible

And we're not mentioned.

We don't want

To start any war

Yet humans seem to hate us

Deep in their core.

Why?

We're all Christians here

Anyone else remember the 'do not kill' thing?

Thanks to you, we live in fear.

All we want is

Peace.

All you want is us

In pieces.

God says to

Love one another.

It's really hard

When you've slain everybody's brother.

All around me,

My kin fall.

I pray for you,

But you don't stop at all.

Come to your senses.

We're both Christians.

Lower the stake and the garlic

And listen.

For some reason,

God says to love you.

It's tough.

But I do.

I don't want to fight.

It's not God's way.

So come take my hand,

And work towards a brighter day.
