The Donuts Shall Rise Again
When my donut reaches you,
Please don't break it in half,
Just wait a little while,
Give me time to get there.
And I believe you'll understand,
Just exactly how I feel.
This is my last,
And my most hungry request.
With a restless hunger,
My mouth began to water,
With one thing on my mind,
I foolishly ate.
Now as twilight closes in,
I see you from a restaurant.
And I wish for you,
All the courage you'll ever need,
To not eat my donut!
And although it's tasty,
And it's glazed outside,
I believe in the existance of you not eating my donut.
And a forgotten cookie,
And pastry in my hands.
A life without donuts is a life without joy,
Without fun!
