Loved the show, still love the pairing, found this gathering dust on an sd card. I own nothing and mean no harm.

Walking got easier every day.

Simply walking in long sure strides had been a strange thing to recall; but he had accepted the struggle, worked through the discomfort, and walking got easier every day.

"You in a hurry," Dani called out to him, slowing his steps, his sure strides not so sure when called into question.

"No," he had no reason to hurry anymore, had to remember that, the mental notes were getting longer and more varied daily.

The mumbling was a little to low for him to make out clearly, her face was clear though, irritated at him, he rolled his neck; they had nearly made it through the day without him irritating her and he thought for sure he was going to last till night fell.

Tomorrow he would try again, smiling he opened the door and ignoring her eye roll, firmly held it open while she ducked under his arm and into the station.

"I am capable of opening doors," whoa, irritated was seeping into pissed, he glanced down, her back was straight, her head held high; so much pride stuffed into one person.

Pride was something he had lost a long time ago.

Faith he had in spades, strength and severity of heart he knew he could call upon in a pinch, Reese though she wore her pride as proudly as he his perseverance.

But she was still frowning at him, her hands had slid into her back pockets and he figured he had five minutes at best before he lost her, "I know you are, doesn't mean you have to every time."

Her gasp caught him sideways, the elevator doors chimed as they closed in front of them, drowning out the sound. She spun to face him as the car began to lift; he wondered if she would have been so aggressive had they not been alone.

He considered it progress that she hadn't let loose even though there were witnesses as she had been previously inclined to do; faith he had in spades. With a smile on his face he followed her out of the elevator, no doubt her mumbling would have made him blush, but that was OK, she would come around sooner or later.

All he had to do was have a little faith.
