Finally… I've managed to upload the proof-read version… lol

Disclaimer: Phantom of the Opera belongs to G. Leroux and the song is from Led Zeppelin.

I just had to write this. Erik deserves a really nice and romantic ending once in a while.

Thank You

If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.

Erik looked at the woman standing beside him. She was so beautiful… he still couldn't believe, that she'd chosen him. Him, and not the dashing Vicomte. He loved her so much, it almost hurt. She was his life; he couldn't imagine a live without her. And now she was here with him, in this small chapel, about to say the words he had never dared hoping to hear.

"Yes," Christine said with a faint smile.

Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Christine moved slightly towards him, tilting her head, and he let his lips brush softly against hers.

"I love you, Erik," she whispered.

Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
together we shall go until we die. My, my, my.
An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look... see.

In this moment, his life had become perfect. I was astonishing what a small smile from her could do.

He quietly led her from the chapel to the waiting coach. He helped her inside and signalled the driver to take them away. Christine softly leaned against him and he still couldn't quite believe that she was here with him, that she loved him. And as they left the city behind them, Christine resting in his arms, the old pain started the fade away. Hurtful memories and haunting nightmares lost their edge and for the first time in his life he felt at peace.

And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad, happiness...I'm glad.

After a long ride they finally reached their goal. Erik carefully woke Christine and helped her out of the carriage. They were standing in front of a huge Mansion, surrounded by large gardens.

"Oh, Erik! It's beautiful!"

"Welcome home, Christine."

If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
