Interwined Souls

Their once was a man who loved to paint,

Whose soul was clear, and lived as a saint,

Who met a pretty young girl,

Who put his heart in a whirl.

BR>

She became the centerpiece of his art,

Where their love began to start

Months later they were going to wed,

But the lady died instead.

BR>

"She's gone, she's dead!" His dearest love.

Gone to heaven in the sky above,

The young man fell in deep dispair.

Thus shows that life isn't fair.

BR>

While the young lady eternally slept,

The young painter cried and wept.

"I must bring her back to me!"

The poor man wouldn't let it be.

BR>

He found himself walking on a trail,

And saw a figure, whose deathly pale.

The figure who's eyes were blood red,

And skin like that of the walking dead.

BR>

His cold fingers corressed the man's face,

An uncomfortable, but even pace.

"Too bad, she's up in the clouds above."

"You know her, my lady love?"

BR>

"I saw that look in your eye,

The look of a man who wants to die."

"But I can bring her back, you see,

"If you do something for me."

BR>

"What do you wish! Name your toll."

"All I want, is your soul."

"If you bring my dear to me,

Then my soul, will let me be."

BR>

He turned to the man with a wicked smile,

Who's eyes were cold, and his mind was vile.

A beam of light stabbed his heart.

The sensation nearly pulled him apart.

BR>

"Behold sir, your lady is here,

She stands, your lovely dear!"

"Oh, can it be! Let me touch your face!

Who's beauty is of walking grace!"

BR>

"Darling it has been so long,

Since I've heard your voice of song."

"My dearest man, lovely heart,

We shall never be apart."

BR>

They walked away hand in hand.

Their shoes disturbed the trail of sand.

They lived together for many years,

Very happy and without fear.

BR>

Soon the man began to fall ill.

He tried liquid, salve and pill.

Nothing seemed to work that day.

Soon the man passed away.

BR>

He awoke in a place of dire,

Quickly lit upon consuming fire.

A familiar face came into play,

"It's time now, for you to pay."

BR>

The figure walked, and raised his voice,

"Believe me sir, you have no choice."

"What do you want, I'm not well."

"Indeed sir, you're in Hell."

BR>

The man's eyes were big and wide.

His body was slumped to the side.

"Forgive me fool, I must go."

"You cannot escape your place of woe."

BR>

"Hmm, someone needs me, to give you life."

"Someone you know...It's your wife."
