It was dark, and the monster thrashed in his prison, waiting for her to come to him.
Her sisters' piercing words and condescending looks had left her in tears and the monster inside her yearning for more poison. The very smell of that place had always intoxicated her. Lowered her barriers. Now, with the monster moving and yearning stronger than ever before, one sip of a mineral water became three shots of vodka. And still the monster yearned for more.
The bartender said something about last call and the monster screeched in protest. She excused herself to the bathroom and orbed home. With the sun rising so did the monster. He tore her out of sleep. Forced her secret depression stash out of her closet. Before breakfast the bottle was gone. And still the monster yearned for more.
