"Objection!"
It is a beautiful word, isn't it? When you shout it correctly, with your finger out, the true glory of it comes out. Proving someone wrong, probably putting them in a corner, or even breaking them down to the confession of their crimes, that feeling will never go away.
Even if it's not you who shouts it.
Maya Fey has grown attached to that word by now. Spending her free time at Nick's always ends up with a case. Sometimes she wishes to interfere with the trial just to test it out herself. How will she Object? Will it be correct? What will Nick think of it? Or will it be too weak to even feel the true magic of the word?
She had thought about it a lot.
And she got so attached to it that when she hears the word "Object" she starts thinking of Nick's finger full of power, and how his voice saying the word just fills her ears. Ah… She could listen to that word all day.
She even wanted to put it as her ringtone once, but she couldn't get Nick record it outside of the courtroom and when there is a trial, it's hard to get the moment. Not to mention that The Steel Samurai theme just feels to fit in better as a ringtone. The word so royal can't be put to be just a mere ringtone!
Yes, this word certainly was beautiful.
Maya has lay down on the sofa, with her eyes closed, just repeating it over and over again in her head. She tried it in other voices but Nick's, but so far his and Mia's were on the first place. They sounded more… original. Real.
"Maya, are you ok?" Nick asked. Maya had gotten out of her trance.
"What?" she didn't quite hear what he said.
"You have been quiet for nearly thirty minutes now. I am worried." He said in a worried tone.
"Oh, yeah, I have been just doing some… thinking.." Maya answered.
"What is on your mind?"
"It's… the new burger restaurant opening down the road! Yeah! That's it!" She can't admit her obsession with that word! It would be just weird, and embarrassing, and Wright will probably make fun of her for the rest of her life!
And you know what? That was the only Psyche-lock he couldn't break.
