Summary:

The world was turned upside down five months ago. Everyone was in an uproar. There were groups of people protesting all around the world. No one giving a single fuck about their lives; they were all fucked anyway...

One by one people started changing. The warmth in their eyes switched to a dull light. Their thoughts and individualism were replaced by what They viewed perfect. Emotions were non-existing these days. Eventually the world was 'cleansed of its filth' and replaced by 'better beings'. The world leader forced an act where everyone must transfer their mind and soul into shiny, metal robots.

Prologue

"This is the fate of humanity. Its a precious gift brought to us by God himself! Us humans have been searching for infinite life. The fountain of Youth. The philosophers stone. Yes, you heard me right. God has brought us the gift of immortality! Let use pray to the Lord for his wond-"

Mr. Jeevas was quick to turn off the radio. A grimace on his aged face as he turned away from the others in the room. Anger filled him and disgust oozed from his pores. "Down right horrifying,"He muttered. His voice rough from years of smoking, "These so called saviors of the human race" He stared out the window, his dull blue eyes watching the busy city below. He thought back to his life, how he met the love his life. How he almost died in World War 3. Visions of his fallen comrades filled his mind as his vision became fuzzy. "Disgusting."

The room was dead silent as the elder wept. His kin looked away, faces filled with apathy. All but one held a face of fury. He started at his great grandfather, tears welled up in his eyes as he watched his hero grieve. Its an image that Matt Jeevas will never forget. For that day he learned, that every hero has a weakness.

Matt always viewed his grandfather as a strong man. He looked up to him greatly. He thought he would never see his Papa in such an emotional distress. Anger filled the young man as he glanced around the room. His own family not caring as the war hero cried silently. His own family...they didn't even care. If they did they would not force Mr. Earl Jeevas into this rat infested retirement home. No longer able to hold back, he snapped;

"Papa!", He exclaimed, startling every one in the room. Earl looked up, shocked to hear the always quiet grandson speak. Matt gulped but kept his face set on his grandfather. A spark ignigted in his green eyes as he looked at his grandfather. "I promise, I will never become one of them. I would rather die then lead a false life," He paused, stepping closer to the elder, "I will put up one hell of a fight before they can catch me."

The red head heard a gasp from his mother and sister, but he ignored them. His grandfather smiled and grasped the teens hands. "Then you better get running, son." Matt nodded and let go his hands slip from their hold. He turned to the other occupants in the room. Staring at his family. His father held a look of disappointment and his mother was close to tears. Yet, he didn't care. He smiled and walked out the room.

Little did Matt know, that was the last time he would ever see his family.

So let me know if you want more or if I should just toss it ;)
