This is a poem I wrote for school, but its based off of Eli and Clare. Enjoy(:
Lost in the City:
Noisy traffic
Honking of horns
The city bustle
Is everywhere you look
I look to my left
You're not there
I look to my right
You're nowhere to be found
I begin to panic like
A child who has lost
Their mom in a store
I'm lost in this foreign city
No idea how to get around
My pace of walking quickens
I begin to scurry like a little puppy
To find you
I yell your name loudly
People stop and stare at me
And the commotion I have caused
Suddenly I see someone
Running towards me
It's you
Your face familiar
Looking how I feel
A feeling of happiness
Overwhelms me
I run to you as fast as
I possibly can. As fast as
My legs allow me too.
We embrace in a tight hug
Were both shaking with fear
That's slowly washing away
Were both glad to be together again
I smile brightly, you smirk
That lovely goofy
Half smirk of yours
It's your signature, and I love it
You say in a whisper
"Don't leave me again"
I smile and say
"I promise, I never will"
