Yuki smiled slightly when she saw Zero standing by the school's main entrance. The sky was a deep blue, the moon was mostly just a dull grey in the night sky. Yuki walked over to Zero, her eyes looking at his every detail. This was something she naturally did whenever she saw him, her eyes would scan his perfect skin, she would melt as she stared at his gorgeous eyes, his silver hair and his perfect bod-
"What?" Zero said rudley, annoyed with the staring.
"Oh- Err, nothing. Good evening, how are you?" Yuki replied, looking away quickly towards the boring sky.
"Fine." Zero answered, not returning the question.
"So umm-"
"Yuki," Zero said, cutting her off. Yuki smiled slightly with hope, "Why are you here? You're meant to be over by the day class dorms, one of them could wake up at any time."
Yuki's smile faded, ofcourse he was only going to talk about their duty. She nodded and walked away towards the day class side of school, not bothering to talk.
After waiting for about 10 minutes she looked at her watch, it was almost midnight, the night class would be out soon. She gripped her Artemis rod slightly tighter, and looked over at the enterance that divided the day class from the night class.
At exactly midnight, the tall dark doors of the night class opened, and the vampires walked out, looking perfectly beautiful as always. Yuki walked back over to Zero,
who ignored her. They both stood quietly as the night class walked past them. Yuki smiled at Kaname as he walked past, he smiled back, but not with his lips. His mouth was emotionless, but his eyes did all the smiling. Zero accompanied the night class to their lessons, as usual, and Yuki went back to keep an eye on the day class. Like every night, things went smoothly, and the guardians dutys were over within a few hours.
"So.. The night class were good as usual?" Yuki said, desperate to start a conversation. Zero said nothing, his eyes were focusing on the slightly damp grass that they were walking across. Yuki knew it was best not to say anything else, he clearly wasn't interested in talking, and she didn't want to annoy him. They continued to walk in mute, a few hoots from owls and cries from crickets were the only noises to break the silence. After a few minutes, but what seemed like hours, Zero stopped walking.
"Yuki," He said it quietly, but his voice sounded slightly angry.
She turned around to face him, "Umm, yes?" She responded looking up at him nervously.
"I'll see you tomorrow." And with that he turned around and started walking away.
"Wait, what?" Yuki called out to him, "Where are you going? Your dorm is that way!" She said pointing behind her. He didn't respond and just continued to walk away. Moments later Yuki was left staring at the darkness he had just walked into. It didn't make sense.. Where was he going? He'd done it once before, and hadn't come back for days.. She was worried but there was nothing she could do, at least, not yet. She turned back around and walked to her dorm.
