Hey guys, Kit here. I was watching Torchwood: Miracle Day and I just had the idea to write this poem. I have no idea what it is called or what it is about, it kind of just happened. Enjoy!
I was wondering, one day
What would become of us, in the end
And where we would go, what we would be
And how would we live, eternally
And suddenly, I heard a reply, in the darkness
Soft at first, but getting louder, more intense
"Forever. Forever is nothing to those who believe,
For belief, belief will keep you strong"
Faith in what? Was all that I could say
But only silence remained, thats all
From the darkness, there was only darkness
But the darkness was comforting, and warm
As if there was a soft and gentle presence
Amongst the warmth, there was a chill
Someone watching, listening, observing
As if simply observing would enable the warmth
And then, there was nothing, no warmth
no comfort, only the chill of darkness
Settling in, as if to stay forever
And with the warmth, went my hope
Until suddenly, it was all back
The warmth, the hope, the presence
And the voice, "Faith in the end.
For if you know, then you believe"
And I nodded, as if understanding
But really, all I could do was hope
For when the voice returned, so did hope
And once you have it, for sure, no one can take it away
