Victoire and I were watching Muggle television in our London flat. It was late enough that I had caught Toire yawning several times – twelve, to be exact – but she seemed determined to keep her eyes open. After the thirteenth, though, I reached for the controller and turned the television off.
"Okay, I think it's time for Toire to go sleepy-by," I told her, stroking her long blonde hair.
"No."
"No?"
"I don't want to move. I'm too tired."
"Well, okay, then," I said, trying not to laugh as I swept her up into my arms – Toire could get so stubborn when she was tired, "I guess I'll just have to carry you."
She made some incomprehensible sounds and tucked here head in against my chest and I carried her to the bedroom her parents still didn't know we shared. It wasn't a long trek, but I was moving slowly and softly, not wanting to disturb her. She was probably already asleep.
"You know, you're just like a big teddy bear," Toire announced just as we got to our bedroom. I, thinking she was asleep, froze and looked down. Her big blue eyes were blinking at me and she had a thoughtful look of her pretty little face.
"I am?" I asked softly.
She nodded, stroking my chest. "Yeah. 'Cause we cuddle. And you're Teddy, so you're a Teddy Bear. Except, instead of me holding you, you hold me."
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't stop the little smile that appeared on my face. It was clear that Toire a bit loopy, and loopy was really cute. "Doesn't that make you my teddy bear?"
She shook her head stubbornly. I couldn't help but laugh as I laid her down on the bed and turned off the lights before crawling into bed and covering us both, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her closer to me. Victoire was already asleep – her adorable little snores told me that much – but that didn't stop me from leaning forward and kissing her hair, or from whispering into her ear.
"I love you, my little teddy bear."
So, yeah, I don't own Harry Potter. Also, I know this is very simmilar to the ScorpiusxRose story (My Sleepy Little Girlfriend) I just posted on Thursday, but I woke up this morning at like 4:00 and I was cold and then I wished my teddy bear (yes, I still have one. Her name is Snowflake and her little penguin buddy's name is Tux) could keep me warm. But then it couldn't. And I was sad.
So, anyway, that's my excuse for this. I got the idea and I figured I'd type it and post it before I left for skating today.
Anyway, hope you liked it and check out my other stories.
