The air was filled with fresh oxygen and anticipation at Tarrytown Airport, because it was nearly time for the annual Easy Airlines parade.

Everyone was excited- except Orland.

"So I can't attend the parade at all?" he asked Brenda Blue, Tarrytown's mechanic.

"I'm sorry Orland, but those repairs are urgent. If I leave them any longer you could become ill and then you'll need longer time to be repaired." She replied.

Poor Orland was upset by the news. He didn't know what to think.

"So, what will happen now? Jay Jay, Tracy Herky and Snuffy were looking forward to this as much as I was. How'll they react when they find out that I can't do the parade?" He asked himself.

...

So he decided not to tell them.

"Well, what they don't know can't hurt them, right?" He told himself.

But then was trouble.

Tracy wanted to practice her routine for the parade- and she wanted to do it with Orland.

"So Orland are you free? I was hoping maybe we could practice our routines together."

"Sorry Tracy but I already arranged to do my routine with Snuffy." He blurted out.

"Oh, okay then. Never mind." Tracy replied awkwardly.

She left the workshop in a fluster.

"Oh dear." thought Orland.

...

He did the same thing when Herky asked him the same question as Tracy.

But he was quickly caught out when Jay Jay asked about it.

"Wait- Snuffy's doing his routine with Old Oscar. Orland, what's going on?"

"Alright, I have to confess. Can you find Herky and Tracy for me please?" He asked in a small voice.

...

"I'm sorry guys. I felt so bad about not being able to do the parade that I was worried of what'd you think, so that's why I lied about it."

The others forgave Orland.

"You could have just told us you couldn't do it! Said Jay Jay. We wouldn't have been mad."

"I know."

"Don't worry Orland. We'll think of you at the parade." Promised Tracy.

"Really?"

"Of course we will!"

So the other jets set off for the parade, leaving Orland to get his repairs completed.
