One Shot - So I've been watching all of the episodes from Season 4 on and when I watched "Free to Be You and Me" this popped into my head. Dean & Castiel...no slash. R&R
"I'm your new God…a better one...so you will bow down and profess your love unto me, your Lord...or I shall destroy you."
Dean heard the words, but the fact that Castiel was saying them was more than he could process. All the lies and deceit from Castiel had brought them to this. Where did this all go sideways?
Castiel raised his hand once again, gently touching his fingers together as if to snap and looking at Dean intently. They snapped and Dean cringed…waiting to explode into human chunky soup. When he didn't he looked around to see Sam and Bobby had disappeared.
"What did you do to them?" Dean shouted, glaring at Castiel.
"I sent them to Bobby's house…they are safe...for now. I thought we should discuss your question." Castiel said, still wearing the creepy new God expression Dean was already starting to hate.
"What freakin' question? I didn't ask a question!" Dean shouted even louder this time.
"You asked where this all went sideways, Dean. Although…in my case I'd like to think of it more as up." Castiel said, a sick excuse for a smile snaking across his lips.
"I didn't ask…I thought." Dean said emphatically but with less volume.
"It is of no consequence how you asked. I heard it either way." The new God said, looking at Dean curiously.
"Whatever…so discuss the damn question if that's what you want. I don't freakin' care."
"When humans want something we lie…that's how you become President…or in my case God." Castiel said, studying Dean like a strange new zoo animal.
"What?" Of all the stupid ass stuff I've said you take that to heart?"
