She should be lying down; eyes closed; asleep. She isn't. She drifted along a path, responding to an unseen -almost illusory- call. She found herself standing by... a river. The water currents moved with speed, just like how she found her heart pumping with abormal speed.
It was night time. A cold breeze flowed past her. She shivered.

Another reason why I shouldn't be here at all.

Snapping out of her trance, she was greeted by the bright full moon, which contrasted itself from a dark and empty sky. She also received an abruptly greeting of the the many bodies of water around her. From the smallest caterpillar a nearby branch, to the juicy, large body of a dozing sheep miles away.

The full moon..

The world suddenly felt more alive than ever. Katara felt horribily disgusted. Her days with the full moon have never been the same since her forced-upon skill to bloodbend.

I...I hate this.

The sounds of the woods suddenly seemed to mock her. Katara glanced at the seemingly larger full moon. She felt her muscles tighten, her vessels pressurize and her anger rising. Katara couldn't take the feeling anymore.
She bended water from the stream, hurling it wherever she could. Like a child playing in the pool. Time seemed to stop. Katara wanted anything to disrupt her undying urge to bloodbend. Tears were rolling down her cheeks like a leaking tap. She looked like a mess. Her hair was tangled in all directions, her clothes stained and soaking.
"Katara?"
She lost her grip on the water. A loud splash was heard. She suddenly felt like a statue. Katara didn't dare to face Aang.
"..Katara?" She felt the his heartbeat getting closer.
"It's..it's not...not safe here...it's not safe here, Aang," Katara managed to stutter so softly. "I'm a monster." She recalls the shaking, vulnerable figure of Hama being bloodbend. Being bloodbent by her herself.

Why? WHY all these? All the pain and destruction I can cause. This..this power I have. Am I supposed to fulfill its desires?

"You're no-"
"-Stay back! Please!" her tears started to flow faster. "I don't know how long I can keep this up."
"You're never going to be like her."
"But you don't know. No one knows. A lot..a lot can happen in time. It's.. unbelievably tempting."
"You'll never be like Hama, Katara. That's a trait of yours that'll never change."
"But how can you be so sure?!" Katara was overwhelmed with with angst. Fury was showing on her face. Her fists tightened. So did the river, as portions of the stream were now made narrower, thanks to certain sides of frozen water.
She suddenly felt weak; Her knees gave in. Katara found herself weeping in Aang's arms.
"I almost gave in, Aang! I wanted to bloodbend something - I wanted to bloodbend you Aang! I was so..so lost."
"But you could never use bloodbending to hurt anyone, Katara. You are strong, Katara."
The night soon fell silent again. Katara snuggled with Aang, laying her head on his chest. They leaned against a tree.
"You're my strength Aang. With you I can go through anything.." Aang was greeted with the sight of his partner sleeping; eyes closed; with a smile.
