It is the night before All Saint's Eve, tomorrow all the creatures of the night will come out to play. As soon as the evil that comes out of the graves realizes that it is immortal, there is no stopping it. Sounds like fun does it not? A single night of playtime, that's all we get! That's not fair! The self righteous, revolting, agonizing, good things of Earth get 364 days to make us into a myth! It's infuriating and endlessly tormenting.

We want to strike the castle they call holy and impenetrable, to send a message to those out there who are tired of hiding in the shadows and waiting for morning, who are tired of being unheard of! Let this message reach all whose hearts are dark! Avert not thine eyes mortals, the clock will soon chime the hour of your end.

A passage from the diary of Petroclus the Summoner, 1154.

What drove Petroclus to do these things? One can only wonder, or one can seek him out and join him! Petroclus the Master Lich calls to us all, mortal and immortal alike. We are all drawn by his aura of night. The power seeping from his crypt is irresistible! I must have it. Everyday I consume countless drops of Blood, only to be thirsty yet again….I….I shall rally my families of Vampyres and journey to his legendary catacombs, The Crypt of the Forgotten Lich and drink from the neck of the Unholy father himself!

Dracon Morvayas, 1345

A letter to the king of Morveil, 1348, from the Earl of Holygate

My lord we are besieged! They came from nowhere it seems, specifically to attack THIS castle! Our defenses are failing rapidly, as they gain control of tower after tower. Every time one of our soldiers is slain, he rises and attacks us. We cannot hold the castle, we will retreat in the morning. I am sorry my lord Arminus.
Captain Argyle's letter to king Arminus, 1348

A passage from the Necromancer's handbook describes a certain journey made by a Necromancer to The Summoners Tomb. The Necromancer T'alvid, made the journey in 1236 to the tomb and found that the Lich's corpse was missing!

The journal of T'alvid:

I have finally found it! What has taken my ancestors centuries to locate I have found in months! As venture further and further into the catacombs, I fine that the guardians of the tomb become more difficult to defeat. The last foe I vanquished was a lesser Hydra Demon. The monster had six heads and claws of obsidian!! There eyes are like fire, and they seem to be as soulless as myself….

June 27, 1351. I have journeyed as far as I am able…this will be the last passage of this journal…the monsters have surrounded me in a cave…It will not be long before I am their feast…I cannot find the strength to move..I'll have to let them finish me…Goodbye my love…
