A/N: Written for the A Prompt Per Pokemon Challenge, Abra – must be a female Abra.

A Triangle Trade

It's so rare to catch female Abra that it's a really lucky catch if one happens to be a breeder. And if one's looking to trade with a breeder, they can get quite a good pokemon in exchange.

As a bug catcher, Colton didn't have much use for the one he came across in the wild – but he knew the breeder Lily was dying to get her hands on one. He also knew she had a Togepi egg, which wasn't a bug type either but he knew someone else who was looking to trade a Mothim for one.

So, by that logic, he wasn't going to let that female Abra get away. Unlike Abra, Burmy came largely in the female variety, and trying to catch a male one was a pain.

Of course, trying to catch any sort of Abra was a pain, what with how they teleported straight away. But it seemed like a young one, and he had Yanmega whose speed boost let it easily catch up. It still took quite a bit of chasing about, but he managed to get it safely into a Poke-ball by the end of the day.

And, predictably, Lily was ecstatic when he presented her with the Poke-ball. She was more than happy to trade it for the Togepi egg he was after, and Colton immediately traded that egg with the guy who had the Mothim he wanted to trade.

And so, in the end, each of them wound up with a hard to come by Pokemon in quite a smooth trading affair.
