Near You Always
Cordelia gently pulled the cd out of it's case and placed it into the cd player. She closed the door of the player and pressed the play button. She walked over to the couch and sat down beside Angel, who was reading a book. She picked up her own book and started reading.
The song began and Cordelia looked at Angel for any objections. He was oblivious to her looks and just kept reading his book.
Please don't say I love you those words touch me much too deeply they make my core tremble I don't think you realize the effect you have over me and please don't look at me like that it just makes me want to make you near me always
As the song drifted on Cordelia kept sneaking looks at Angel for any sign that he was listening to what she had to say, but wasn't actually saying. She feared maybe that he didn't feel the same way and suddenly wished that she had kept her big mouth shut.
Please don't kiss me so sweet it makes me crave a thousand kisses to follow and please don't touch me like that it makes every other embrace seem pale and shallow and please don't come so close it just makes me want to make you near me always
This time it was not Cordelia who looked at Angel, but Angel who looked at Cordelia. He looked at her willing in his head for her to look up at him. She slowly turned her head upwards as if she had heard his pleas. She quickly saw that he was looking at her and she adverted her gaze back down to her book.
And please don't bring me flowers they only whisper the sweet things you'd say and don't try to understand me your hands already know too much anyway it makes me want to make you near me always
Angel slid closer to Cordelia. She tried to move the opposite way, but Angel grabbed her wrists. She let out a small cry but he only pulled her closer.
And when you look in my eyes please know my heart is in your hands it's nothing that I understand but when in your arms you have complete power over me so be gentle if you please cause your hands are in my hair but my heart is in your teeth baby and it makes me want to make you near me always
Angel leaned down and pressed his lips to Cordelia's. She silently protested but her protests were short lived. Soon Cordelia was wrapped up in Angel's arms and she couldn't think of anywhere else she would rather be.
