Day five for Grace... it's nearly over YAY
Prologue
Sasuke froze, it was wrong, there it was, the absence of Naruto's incessant chatter. He turned to look at the other boy. The blonde stared back with big empty eyes, the usually glowing blue orbs where a dull grey. Sasuke was at his side in a second catching the smaller boy as he fell.
"Kakashi!" Sasuke cried
Uzamaki Naruto's seal had broken three months after his fourteenth birthday, he hadn't slept in two years terrified that the Kyuubi would break free; to start off he had talked nearly twenty/four seven to stop himself falling asleep.
He had always been small for his age but Naruto has seemed to shrivel over the months he had taken to mumbling to himself instead of talking to those around him. Sasuke had taken it upon himself to stay with him. Today had been the first day in two months he had convinced Naruto to leave his apartment. Sasuke had brought him out to watch his old team mates and sensei spar. He fell at the boy's side cradling him in his arms, Kakashi was at his side in an instant, he pealed back Naruto's eyelids the pupils where shifting and dilating madly the iris's changing from Naruto's natural blue to the fiery red of the Kyuubi.
"Take him away immediately, Sasuke I'm sure I needn't tell you mustn't be seen he will be killed if they find out, you need to protect him till he wakes. We can only hope that when he does any trace of him remains."
Sasuke obeyed immediately hiking the boy over his shoulder and sprinting towards the forest, he ran for a long time, he knew exactly where he was going.
It was dark by the time he stopped, he had sent out multiple duplicates of himself to send people off his trail just in case. Just as he knew Kakashi was walking with a fake Naruto and Sasuke. They had had to have precautions ready it wasn't if with Naruto it was when. Not because he was weak, he was one of the strongest ninja in Konoha it was because when the seal broke Kyuubi fused with his soul; it was only a matter of time before the two merged completely. He found the entrance to the cave and squeezed in, careful to keep Naruto from being bumped against the walls. The cave had everything they would need for anywhere up to a year, by then either way Sasuke would be able to go and get more supplies. He placed the smaller boy on the bed covering him with blankets before sinking to the ground his head cradled in his hands.
"Please come back Naruto"
