Chapter 1 - The Peacekeeper
A town was floating peacefully in the sky. The beautiful Metro City, hundreds of miles above the ground. It is floating wonderfully in the sky, but how did it get there?
A century ago, the founders of Metro City were seeing our world was changing. They took Mount Sophia and lifted it out of the earth and into the sky, to be an oasis, a floating paradise. People don't really know what happens on the strange and mysterious Surface that they left behind. Life in Metro City was definetly better than life on The Surface.
A boy named Toby was in Metro City High School, sitting in a classroom behind his wore a red and blue jacket, a white top with red stripes, black trousers and red boots. Him and his classmates, were just watching a video clip about robots and Dr. Tenma, (Toby's dad) who created Dr. Tenma came up on the screen, one of Toby's classmates, called Benny, whispered to him,
"Hey Toby! Isn't that you're dad?"
"It sure is!" Toby replied.
"Hush!" exclaimed Mr. Moustachio, Toby's teacher.
The video clip finished with a short laugh at the end of it. Mr. Moustachio told them,
"Ok students! Ready for a pop quiz!"
They were all going to do a physiscs pop quiz on their hi-tech desks that had a little platic rectange stuck in them where their test answers would be saved onto.
"Begin!" Mr. Moustachio.
Ember, agirl in Toby's class, moaned,
"I am so busted!"
Toby looked around for a second then started his test. In around ten seconds he was finished and he put his hand up in the air. Mr. Moustachio looked up from the book he was reading and asked,
"Yes Toby, is there a problem?"
"There's no problem. I'm just finished and I'd like to leave!"
"Finished!"eclaimed Mr. Moustachio
"For rocket science, it wasn't exactly rocket science." Toby replied as he gae Mr. Moustachio his test.
Mr. Moustachio took Toby's test with a little hesitation and told him,
"Well I don't suppose there's much point in you staying."
By the time Mr. Moustachio had finished his sentance Toby was already at the classroom door.
"Good luck guys!" Toby called back to his classmates.
Then he left the classroom with a happy smile on his face. One of his classmates threwa book at the door just after he left. Mr. Moustachio then put Toby's test into a small laptop based machine, but instead it told you exam results with a percentage out of 100 percent. As usual, Toby got 100 percent.
"Just like his father!" Mr. Moustachio whisperes to himself.
Toby came out of school and met his house robot (Orrin) at the school gates.
"Hello Master Toby. Did you have a good day at s...?" asked Orrin
In the middle of his sentance he was interrupted by Toby saying,
"Think fast Arn!"
Toby threw his bag to Orrin. Toby called Orrin 'Arn' as they were good friends.
"Thankyou Master Toby. Very good throw by the way!"
Toby got into a flying car that was hovering at the edge of the road. Orrin drove down the road while Toby sat in the back of the car.
Suddenly Dr. Tenma appeared out of no-where, but as a hologram, all blue and white.
"Hello son!" Tenma exclaimed.
"Hello sir!" replied Toby.
"How was school?" asked Tenma.
"Oh, great! Mr. Moustachio dropped a pop quiz on us, but I'm pretty sure I got 100 percent!"
"Thats good son, very good, but I don't want you to become complacent. It's important to keep studying. Onward and upward Toby!"
"Sure dad."
"Im aware I said I'd take you to that symposium on quantum mechanics, but I'm afraid that I have to take a rain check again."
"You promised!"
"I'm sorry Toby, but it's unavoidable. President Stone has bought foward the unveiling of the Peacekeeper."
"The Peacekeeper! You gotta be kidding me!"
"I never kid. Goodbye son."
And with the conversation finished Dr. Tenma disappeared with-out a trace.
