Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue

Alex had always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, small and intimate. She imagined Don, Elliot, John, and Fin there to watch, with Olivia as her maid of honor and Serena as a bridesmaid.

It'll just be them there to watch me marry the man I love.

She dreamed of a nice quiet reception at her favorite Chinese place, Ollie's Noodle Shop and Grille.

She imagined a beautiful five-tier chocolate cake and lots of champagne.

And as she thought of all this, she remembered that old wedding saying/good luck charm:

"Something old…"

My favorite pearl necklace that my grandmother gave me…

"Something new…"

My silk wedding dress with diamond accents…

"Something borrowed…"

Mother's pearl earrings…

"And something blue…"

My eyes… She remembered how he'd told her that her eyes lit up and shimmered a beautiful sapphire color when she smiled.

The way she was smiling now as she began to walk towards him. She could see the smile on his face and the warmth in his eyes. Her wedding day was picture perfect, just the way she imagined it to be. They were getting married in their favorite glade in Central Park, where they often went to picnic, she was wearing a dress fit for a fairy tale and she was marrying the perfect man. She couldn't help her brilliant smile as he took her hand when she reached him and they stood before the priest to be married.

Originally, no one was supposed to know about them, but now that they were about to become husband and wife, they had no problem with it.

At long last, Alexandra Cabot was marrying her Prince Charming.

Well, actually…he wasn't just a prince.

He was the Good Doctor George Huang.
