Love On The Brain:

A little girl with the biggest heart

Was constantly being torn apart

By the people whom she thought loved her

Though she gave them all the world

All they did was take their anger out on the little girl

Telling her she was not enough

And kicking up a fuss

When she did not follow their rules

One of them was strict as can be

Her mother of sorts

As they were related by blood

But she never treated the little girl

Like she was her world

Because in her mother's eyes

She reminded her of that man's disguise

The one that stole her heart

And left her alone

With a baby that at the time nobody knew about

So from the fault of that man

The little girl was treated like she did not belong

In this world

So she was rejected

And treated as coldly as one could be

When nothing she did could ever please

That woman

Who should've seen her as a new start

And cherished the little girl

With all her heart

Instead of making her feel like she was never good enough

And leaving her with others to be raised

The other who broke her heart

Was a man she thought she loved

Well I suppose he is not exactly a man

But in this case, you must understand

That to her he was her love

The one that god had sent from above

That she would spend the rest of her life with

And help him chase her dreams

As she pined for his love

He took it for granted

Always keeping her by his side

But never offering her anything to go by

Just a promise of one day

That never actually came

So when he needed someone

To look after, him when her wanted to have his fun

While chasing his dreams

He thought of that little girl

Who would carry all the weight in the world

If he would just love her too

So they both ran

Not hand in hand

Like all the romance books would have you want

But with him treating her like a maid

With no real intentions, of

Being her prince and saving her day

But eventually she found out the truth

And I could not have been happier for her

And although her heart was broken in two

She mended it back together

With even more love to share

And though at first that heart of hers

Was consumed by revenge

It melted away and she new she had to begin

A new life for herself

Where love was no longer solely on the brain

Because she needed to love herself

Before she could romantically

Ever love someone else

And along the way through her quest for fame

She made a new family

With people who loved her all the same

And I am proud to say that she never let love completely

Leave her brain

Because she had the biggest heart in the world

And she loved everyone with it

In different ways

So now today

Hopefully since she's seen

That real love has finally com her way

She can live for today

And face the world head on

With love on her brain…
