"This is a cruel and unusual punishment." Sam hopped up onto the kitchen counter and swung her legs in a slow rhythmic motion. Brooke frowned and tossed a look over her shoulder at her.
"It's not a punishment at all!" A dark eyebrow arched in incredulous amusement.
"Try telling that to her when she sees the pictures in 10 years." Brooke adjusted the bright green hat and stood, stepping back to admire her handiwork. Mac sat upright where Brooke had placed her on the kitchen counter, dressed from head to toe in lime green and inquisitively pulling on the rusty red beard being held in place by the elastic string. The large green hat slid forward slightly and Brooke readjusted it
"I think she looks adorable." Brooke said, her tone of voice telling Sam there was no room for argument on the topic, and Sam just smiled as the blonde pulled Mac's hand away from the beard and placed a long wooden-looking stick like object into the 1 year old's chubby hand. The tiny brunette giggled wildly when she shook the object and it made a noise.
"Where the heck did you find a shillelagh rattle?" Sam asked laughing, and Brooke shrugged, a smile pulling at her lips.
"Came with the outfit."
