"COBRA meetings are only called in the worst of times. Since you have been born there have only been five and all but one of those has been in the past four years. All four have been called about Scorpia, the worlds leading terrorist organization. In fact Alex managed to write a wonderful report on them last term, though I am not sure how he found the information."
Somehow a teacher like Mr. Mallory managed to make things interesting for the student in his class that knew all about this as he had been to all four of the meetings.
18 year old Alex Rider shifted in his seat, he had been taking politics since it had been offered to him two years ago. He knew the class would be useful for his work later on but it would be nice if they could talk about something new. Next to him Tom Harris sat in rapt attention, he planned to be a chemistry teacher so he was taking politics as something to do during the classes he wasn't taking anymore.
As he told Alex, "Politics are interesting even though I am not going to use them in my job of blowing up high school science labs like someone I know."
Alex sighed and then tensed as he heard someone walking quickly down the hall. As he turned to look the door slammed opened. In walked a giant man wearing a SAS uniform. The problem was Alex recognized him.
"WOLF, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
"There has been a code 4482, Scorpia has made another threat and this one sounds real."
"SHIT!" Alex swore loudly and began to gather up his things. Mr. Mallory didn't understand what was going on. The only thing that he could make sense of was that the terrorist organization Scorpia had made a threat and they needed Alex to deal with it, and a shouting SAS man was standing in his classroom.
"WHY THE HELL DO THEY NEED YOU FOR A COBRA MEETING THAT TALKS ABOUT SCORPIA?"
Wolf shouted ignoring the gestures from Alex telling him to stop. "I GET YOU HAVE BEEN MI6'S BEST AGENT SINCE YOU WERE 14 BUT HOW THE HELL WOUL YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SCORPIA? YOU CAN'T BE THE AGENT WHO SINGLY HANDEDLY ALMOST DESTROYED THE MULTIPLY TIMES!"
He looked around at the shocked faces and the groaning form of Alex as he walked out the door muttering very loudly, "I am going to kill Blunt for sending you!" As he followed the teen out he heard the teacher shout,
"Alex would you mind talking for us next class?"
