Disclaimer: I own nothing but the words on this page.
Also, doesn't seem to like putting in my natural breaks in the poem. I noticed this when I tried to correct This Absence. So, I just left the poem without the intended breaks, sadly enough. Read, enjoy, review. :) Thanks.
My shoes slapped across the pavement...
So close, so close,
comfort was so close.
So close I never even saw
the error.
"JACOB!"
Stone cold arms,
my prison.
I struggled...
there he was.
"Jake, I'm here!"
Staring, so cold,
so emotionless,
just watching,
hopeless.
Hundreds of red threads,
holding me in my place.
Paralyzed,
that's what we are.
Were I even to succeed
I would probably
move right through him.
Hello. Another poem. In this one Bella tries to go see Jacob near the boundary line but is stopped by Edward. Inspired by Finger Eleven's song "Paralyzer." Go watch the music video on youtube to get a better sense and read this while listening to the song. Not that great, but let me know what you think. It started off as a poem, then became a short story. I rewote the whole thing as a poem, though, because that was my original intent. Thanks for reading.
