There are four of us. Emma, Ashley, Ellie, and me Manny. Emma the tall, thin, tan, and blonde athlete. Ashley the quiet one, but very beautiful. Ellie the rebel and me the writer.
We started this group, even before we were born. Our mothers use to be friends when they were pregnant. Ashley born first. Emma second. Ellie third. Then me last. We were called the Septembers. Our mom's aren't friends like we are. My mom and dad divorced. Ashley's mom and dad are very strict. Ellie's parents are always busy and she's always having to babysit her brother and sister. And last our poor Emma. Her mom took her life. She had many problems. Her dad doesn't pay attention to Emma that much. All she has is us and her dad and her twin brother Peter. I have no siblings though and Ashley has a sister, Mia.
This is the summer we will never forget. All of us are going to be separated for the whole summer. Ashley is going to Greece with her sister Mia to visit their grandparents. Ellie is staying here to work at Walman's. Emma is going to soccer camp in Baja California. She is amazingly talented. For me, I'm going to visit my dad in North Carolina.
