Chronicles of the Portals

I do not want to go to my new school. I hate New York City. I wished I could stay at my old house in Jackson, Mississippi, where all of my friends are. But that was all behind me. I was going to go to this school, no matter what I said.

"You'll love it! You will make new friends and have a great time!" is what my Mom said. Yeah. That is the only sentence that Mom's use in books about this kind of stuff, and she used it to her full advantage. And like in most books about this, I am NOT excited about this. But, unlike said books, I always try to make friends.

Two months later (because I can't figure out a plot that would last two months)

Hey, you would have to say, my mom is right. I did make a friend over the two months I have been here. Her name is Ashley, and she is great. No, not like that… she is like my sister, not my girlfriend. Anyways, this blockhead named Brandon came up to us earlier trying to sell us a "magic" game, so I bought it, just to be nice. Plus, if it wasn't magic, it still looked cool. You could visit your favorite fandoms, including Percy Jackson and the Olympians and "others", as the box says. Brandon said that it actually brings you there, to the place, but I doubt that is true. I am definitely trying Percy Jackson first, because that is one of my favorites.

I am going to call Ashley over to try the game.

"Hey, Ashley,"

"Yes, Sammy?"

"You wanna try that game that I bought from Brandon earlier?"

"Sure, I will be right over."

That is basically how the conversation went, and so she came over 5 minutes later, and we were on the game.

She said "Which one do you want to do first"

"I would like to do Percy Jackson"

"Ok" she replied.

As soon as I pressed the X button, the power went out.

"Oh, great. Just what I wanted to happen. That's nice." I said

"Don't worry. It was probably drawing all of the power and flipped the breaker."

"But why is it so dark. No light. At all. This is weird, because the windows were open just a second ago."

"Just find the door, ok?"

"Yeah," I started, but just then, a light showed up. It was white and circular, so we could see everything. We were not in my house, but a box with no doors.

"What the fuck! Where are we?" Ashley screamed. Her language surprised me, because she almost never cursed, where as I did on a regular basis.

A voice in the light said with a deep voice, "Come in"

"Should we?" Ashley questioned

"I guess," I said "We've got nowhere else to go."

"Ok, you first" Ashley said, and I walked into the light. I could not feel my arms and legs, and soon I am through. I am in the woods, and that is when I hear the growling.
